Local Councillor, Cormac Devlin has advised local residents about the Council's intention to prune the tree's along prune the tree's along Crofton Road, Dunleary Road & Queens Road during the night
between 7pm - 7am on the following dates;

Dunleary Road: Commencing at 7pm Tuesday 5th February until 7am Wednesday 6th February
Crofton Road:   Commencing at 7pm Wednesday 6th February until 7am Thursday 7th February
Crofton Road:   Commencing at 7pm Thursday 7th February until 7am Friday 8th February
Queens Road (Southern Side): Commencing at 7pm Friday 8th February until 7am Saturday 9th February (Some daytime works will take place on Monday 4th February and Monday 11th February 2013 mostly on Queens Road on trees not impacting on the DART line)

The night works are necessitated as the trees are adjacent to the DART lines and the work can only take place when the lines can be decommissioned (only possible during the night) in the interest of health and safety. The trees are in urgent need of attention, with some in poor condition requiring removal but the majority require pruning works to make them safe and ensure their survival into the future.

Should the above schedule change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances this information will be communicated through the Council’s website; http://www.dlrcoco.ie/newsevents/latestnews and
www.cormacdevlin.ie

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has apologised for any inconvenience and disruption that this work may cause, especially the adjacent residents and appreciate their patience during this disruption. Queries can be made to the Parks &
Landscape Services Office by calling them on (01) 205 4700  or by email: parks@dlrcoco.ie (feel free to copy me in on your email: cormac@cormacdevlin.ie)
