UN-BLOCK DRAIN ON
ROCHESTOWN PARK

Local Councillor for the area, Cormac Devlin asked the Council to un-block a drain outside #18 Rochestown Park as this drain is not working correctly.


Question:Councillor Cormac Devlin
To ask the Manager to repair the section footpath along Rochestown Park particularly outside #3, #7, #14 & #24 as they are un-safe for pedestrians?

Reply:
These footpaths will have temporary repairs carried out in the next few weeks.  They are not on the Footpath Restoration Programme for 2007.  However, it may be possible to carry out repairs, if resources become available.

Local Councillor for the area, Cormac Devlin has asked the Council to clean up andmonitor the situation at Otranto Place as there is evidence of illegal dumping there.



Question:Councillor Cormac Devlin
That the Manager ensure that the open space at Otranto Place, Sandycove is regularly cleaned by this Council because there is a lot of debris accumulating at this location.


The following report of the Manager was considered:
A recent inspection has revealed that the site in question is in an untidy condition with evidence of dumping taking place thereon.  Arrangements will be made to have the area cleaned up within the next two weeks and the litter warden will also be asked to monitor the situation.
