Councillor Cormac Devlin is informing all interested parties about the new Draft National Adaptation Framework. This document, once complete, will enable every state agency and each local authority to set about assessing the key risks and vulnerabilities of climate change, agreeing climate resilience actions and ensuring climate adaptation considerations are mainstreamed into all local, regional and national policy making in a coordinated way.

The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment invites submissions in relation to this consultation. This will help inform its further development before a final Framework is compiled. The draft Framework also highlights several key questions to consider in terms of how best Ireland should position itself in taking this first step in moving towards a climate resilient Ireland by 2050. Respondents may choose to answer any or all of the questions or provide details of any additional issues or concerns they feel should be considered.
