Councillor Cormac Devlin - Delivering for Dún Laoghaire

The Council has published its proposals to open the former Presentation College Sports Field on Hudson Road as a public park. As a local Councillor for the area, I am keen to engage with local residents (groups and associations) in order to hear the feedback on this proposal.

I am pleased that a childrens playground is included in this plan as I have long felt it was needed in the area. In 2016, I had a motion passed requesting that a playground be included in the Hudson Road plans.

Residents can make a free submission either by post, email or online. All submissions must be received by the Council before Thursday 23rd February, 2017:

THE PROPOSAL:

The proposal includes the following elements:

• A childrens playground

• 2 playing pitches

• A refurbished sports pavilion

• New pathways around the park

• Outdoor exercise equipment / gym area

• New seating

• Ball stopping nets

• A boules area

• Landscaping and boundary treatment
