DEVLIN ADVISES WATSON RESIDENTS' ABOUT TWO NEW PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Fianna Fáil Councillor, Cormac Devlin has advised residents at the Watsons Residents' Association meeting that the deadline for two large planning applications impacting on their area close on Friday 15th January. For more click here

CREMATORIUM PROPOSAL NEXT TO SHANGANAGH CEMETERY, SHANKILL
Council officials from Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council have unveiled plans for a crematorium next to the existing Shanganagh Cemetery in Shankill. The plans are available for viewing here. You can make a submission for free. If you have any questions please contact Cormac.

NEW TRAFFIC PLAN FOR MONKSTOWN VILLAGE
The Council is proposing a new traffic plan for Monkstown Village. Cllr. Devlin has welcomed aspects but believes that local residents, businesses and road users will have issues with elements of it. CABINTEELY LIBRARY TEMPORARY CLOSURE:
Cabinteely library will be closed on Thursday 2nd June & Friday 3rd June to facilitate building works at the branch. The library will reopen on Tuesday 7th June. The building works will see two small extensions built to the rear of the library which will include a public toilet/baby changing area and a small staff office.

COUNCIL PROPOSES CHANGES TO PEDESTRIAN & CYCLE
FACILITIES ALONG WYATTVILLE ROAD
The Council has launched a public consultation on proposals set to improve cycle and pedestrian facilities along the Wyattville Road (dual carriageway). Members of the public have until Wednesday 1st June to make a free submission. Click here to find out more

PROPOSED NEW NEW LAYOUT FOR JOHNSTOWN ROAD/N11 JUNCTION
Cllr Devlin has advised local residents of the Council's intention to proceed with the up-grade of the above junction. The scheme includes the following; 1) The relocation of the outbound bus stop on the N11 to the northwest side of the junction 2. The provision of a signalised pedestrian crossing across the N11 on the northwest leg of the junction, i.e. city side of the junction. 3. The provision of a signalised pedestrian crossing across Johnstown Road. 4. Improved cycle routeing and cycle transitions throughout the junction in accordance with the National Cycle Manual. 5. The provision of a footpath along the northwest side of Johnstown Road from the N11 until Maple Manor. 6. Resurfacing the road on the N11 and Johnstown Road and 7. PUBLIC CONSULTATION LAUNCHED FOR MERRION GATE / ROCK ROAD INTERSECTION:
Cllr. Devlin is advising commuters to have their say on the proposed Merrion Gate / Rock Road plans. The National Transporation Authority (NTA) have published plans to up-grade this junction. All submissions are free and must be made before Friday 16th December at 5pm. For more click here
